As some of you may know, about 30% of your credit score
is made up of how much debt you have versus available credit.
For example, if you have 2 credit cards with a credit limit of
5,000.00 dollars each for a total of 10,000.00 dollars, and
you have used up all 10,000.00 dollars your debt to available
credit ratio is 100%, or no credit available. This situation
Significantly decreases your credit score, because you are
maxed out. You have no more credit available.

Few of us can simply write a check for lets say,
five thousand dollars to bring the ratio down to 50%.
Also, if you are maxed out, it is much more difficult
to apply for a new credit card, as credit card companies
may not want to assume the risk.

Since banks this past ,/b>year have dramatically
reduced credit limits for even their best credit card
customers, the odds are that many of you can benefit from
this tip.

Visit
Increase My Credit Score. The site sells Books and Music,
but will issue a credit card for a significant credit limit,
and report it on all three credit bureaus. So, you will
achieve two things. An additional “paid as agreed” on
your credit report, and a significant increase in your
available credit. Doing this can quickly raise your credit
score by a significant number of points, and, it is
totally legitimate. Are they using this help as a marketing strategy?
yes, but at the same time they are providing a service to you.

American Debt Enders has no ties with this company,
we are simply passing along the information.

First, a word of thanks to the many readers
of this Free Credit Counseling Newsletter.
I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Christmas
with many more to come. I spent some time thinking of
what would be a fitting Christmas message to you.

If you have been following regularly you know
we have been writing more and more about the
financial system overall. How it has been designed
with the
Federal Reserve System to keep you the consumer
a literal debt slave. Have you ever felt like a prisoner
knowing that if you do not drag yourself out of bed
to go to a job you do not like, you will lose your ability
to survive? Or, that you are working just to keep your head
above water? This is the feeling produced by being a debt slave.

If you have no debt, you can survive on very little.
You will feel differently, because you will be empowered, as
the master of your own financial destiny. I guarantee you, you will
view yourself and the world in a different light.
Most people actually feel that this is an impossible dream.
It is not. You have been brainwashed, from your youngest
days into the debt slave mentality. You have been taught
that their is good debt and bad debt. The reality is that
no debt is good. That includes tax deductible mortgage debt.

Additionally, in the coming yearsyou will be faced with
paying taxes at a rate never before seen in this country. A massive
redistribution of wealth, and please do not be naive and think
that this will only effect the rich. If you have no debt, you will
put yourself and your family in a much better position. You will
put yourself in the position of being able to explore different
means of making a living, perhaps actually doing something you
really enjoy, or feel called to do. Why? Because your basic
living needs will be greatly reduced. Do a little exercise
and write down for yourself, how much money exactly you spend
on debt payments. That includes your mortgage payments.
It always amazes me when counseling poeple in debt, that they
have no idea how much they are spending in total on their debt
each month. They know they write a check here and there, but the
real number is a mystery to them. Even worse, they have no idea
how much a debt amount, for example, ten thousand dollars of
credit card debt will actually cost them over the years.
Just so you know, 10,000 dollars at 18% interest will take
about 10 years to pay off and cost about 24,000 dollars if you
make only a minimum payment of 250.00 dollars per month.

So, this newsletter article is not about the usual
be careful what you spend for Christmas gifts. No, it is about
something much bigger. Christmas is about celebrating the birth
of Jesus, whose mission was to free mankind from the slavery of sin.
You need to celebrate the gift given to us freely, by breaking free
of your own debt slavery. If you have already learned this
great lesson, then why not pass it on, by sending this article to
someone you know who is not as fortunate yet.

It is a fact that there are more new foreclosures
today than there were a year ago. So, how is it that a year ago
that’s all you heard, and today you barely hear a peep about it.
Well. other than the fact that then was pre Obama and now is post
Obama, you know, we cannot have the masses believe that this
presidents policies are not working. There is also another reason.

As you know, my intention is always to impart knowledge
that is self empowering to you the reader. After all, this newsletter
is about you, not me. So I would like to share with you a video
I very recently came across on youtube. The two guys look like
unkempt used car salesman, which may be intentional on their part,
but when they speak, it’s wisdom and knowledge.

Before I give you the link, a few words are in order,
generally, about where this economy is headed. Please do not
be fooled by the smoke and mirror game of Wall street. The people
making the big money have absolutely nothing to do with you.
The banking game has nothing and everything to do with you.
The fact is, it is the banks still in control as they have been,
and the Federal Reserve calling the shots. Just to give you another
tidbit, here is how banks make money. Say you get a credit card
with a 10,000 dollar credit line. Where do you think that money
comes from? Well, if we are talking about a bank and not a credit union
which operates differently, the bank puts up 2,000 dollars of
its money and the remaining 8,000 dollars comes from the Federal
Reserve at an almost 0 rate of interest. The bank then charges you,
up to 30% interest on the money it just borrowed at almost no interest.

This is part of the game of how banks keep you in
perpetual debt slavery, setting you the debtor up
as there lifetime annuity. And, wow!, what a payoff
it is. I am not advocating defaulting, but think about
this the next time you are hit with a late payment for one day.

Unemployment will remain high for years to come.
As a matter of fact, just wait until next year, when all the
new taxes start. These new taxes, Cap and Trade, new taxes on
health plan providers, new taxes from states, especially, those
looking at bankruptcy next year, and their are about thirteen
of those. This is not an environment for job creation.

OK, here is the video link:
MARK TO MARKET CHANGES. As you watch the video, thing clearly
about your own debt situation, if you have one. If you are
finally ready to break the stranglehold you are in, please feel free
thats one individual self empowered with knowledge to break free of debt slavery.....read on

Recently I had occasion to see with my own
eyes the power of knowing how to enforce your legal
rights when it comes to debt. Debt Validation being one
of your rights.

I am often asked, exactly what do you
mean by Debt Validation? Well, debt validation
is a legal term. In simple terms, it requires
that a creditor produce original documentation
to support his demand for payment of the debt.

Really, it goes something like this:
You borrow 1000.00 dollars from Uncle Vito, the
neighborhood loan shark, at lets say 25% interest.
Next thing you know, somebody with the nickname “Fats”
shows up at your door looking to get paid on the loan you
made with Vito. You tell Fats that you made a deal with
Vito, and he never told you to pay Fats. So, unless Fats
produces some proof that Vito told him to pick up the
money for him, you will not pay. You need Fats to produce
some original documentation, not some made up copy.
This would be a simple form of requiring “Debt Validation”.

That’s why when a debt collector sends
you a notice of demand for a payment, for the first
time, they are required to tell you that you have the
right to “Have the debt validated”, and if you enforce
your right by requesting it, they will send
it to you in 30 days. Now usually, what they send you
does not constitute a “legally validated debt”.
If you truly understood the scope of what is required
for them to provide to you, you might even be able
to eliminate the debt.

Going back to the first paragraph, in which I said
I have recently seen a letter from a major creditor, a
credit card bank, in which they were unable to validate
the debt on a 17 year old credit card. The most
important part of the letter is the following” Please
be advised we are not able to forward a copy of the original
credit card application as the card was opened 17 years ago.
Accordingly, we will cease collection efforts immediately”.
The debt effected was over 15,000.00 dollars. Gone, because
someone knew enough to request the right thing.

The validation idea holds true basically, for any type of
debt, including Mortgage notes! Yes, that’s right, chances
are your mortgage has changed hands many times and many times
the original Mortgage note cannot be produced by the bank.
They cannot foreclose on your home, unless they can
produce the original “Mortgage Note” signed at the closing,
a copy will not suffice. The courts are starting to hear more
and more cases on these foreclosure actions, and upholding this
principal.

So, once again, knowledge is power, and self empowerment
will keep you from debt slavery, which is the mission of

If you have been unable to afford the payments in a traditional debt Management Program--now their is a hardship option available, that may help...

An interesting development in the world of
consumer credit counseling programs has developed.
Banks are now offering a new “Hardship Program”,
with lower minimum payments to anyone who can
qualify as a legitimate hardship.

In other words, banks have come to realize that
they have been driving away sincere individuals who
had a desire to pay their debt but were unable to because
when they went to a non-profit credit counseling company,
their monthly payments went up, when they tried to enroll
into a debt management program, and were turned away due to
lack of affordability. Remember, the banks control the non
profits.

So, is it that the banks are having a heart?
Please, do not be naive. First of all, you really have
to qualify for the program. Your hardship must be a hardship
in the eyes of the bank, not your credit counselor. The hardship
is determined by computer software, not a sob story.

Next, At the same time the banks are imposing
stiff annual fees on all card holders. Fees are raging from
29.00 per year to 99.00 dollars per year, and oh yes, lets not
forget what they did to your credit score recently, when they
lowered the credit limits of their best cardholders to whatever
the balance was at the time, thereby severely impacting their
credit score, and causing them to borrow money at a much higher
interest rate then they otherwise would have had to. I have verified
this with a number of finance managers, at lending institutions.

So, if you are still employed and are interested in a
Debt Management Program
now may be a good time to explore one bu calling us at 877-766-2465.

If a debt management program is not viable for you,
even wit a hardship, we have two other debt relief programs
available, which can definitely be of help, and none of them
includes bankruptcy, which you need to avoid if possible.

A very recent study by noted economics professors
Dr. Bernard L. Weinstein, Ph.D, and Dr. Terry Clower, Ph.D.
entitled
Debt Settlement, Fulfilling The Need For An Economic Middle Ground,
points out the true value of
Debt SettlementPrograms.

I say Bravo to these professorsfor taking an
unbiased look at such a maligned industry and reporting
the truth. As pointed out in the paper, which I highly
recommend anyone considering a debt
settlement program read, Credit Counseling programs,
or operated by non profits do not reduce the overall debt,
nor do they tend to reduce the monthly payments required to
meet minimum payments, and when so many households are
running upside down in their budgets,
this presents a real problem. If the money to
make the minimum payments cannot be found, even after
the most strenuous cuts in expenses, then this option
is no longer viable.

Debt settlement companies can help
consumers avoid a bankruptcy filing, which
can impair credit scores for many years. And
unlike bankruptcy, the consumer does not
have to turn over all of the household’s nonexempt
assets to a bankruptcy trustee.
(Source: taken directly from the Weinstein paper)

Debt Settlement also involves consumer education
regarding creditor rights. To often today consumers
have no idea of what there legal rights are as debtors,
and consequently, come under serious abuse by third
party collectors. Also, debtors are able to make affordable
budgets for the first time in a long time, so that
secured debt payments can be handled. Consumers can
begin to get back on track, as they see a light at the
end of the tunnel. Plainly speaking, an end to debt
slavery.

So, if you are considering a debt settlement
program, I advise you strongly to shop around. There
are bad players in every industry. I recommend you look
for a program that will have attorneys represent you
if you are sued by a creditor during the process. It also,
is better to be in a program where before any settlement
is made on your behalf, the debt is validated legally.
If a creditor cannot VALIDATE
your debt according to State and Federal laws, then you have
defenses.

If you enjoyed reading this article and know someone
in a serious debt situation, by all means forward this
article to them. Also, feel free to subscribe to our

Since banks and credit card companies
continue to put the screws to consumers in terms of
lowering credit limits and raising interest rates,
it has lowered the credit scores of the masses.

While six months ago your credit score may
not have been an issue in terms of seeking auto
financing, today may be a whole new ballgame, and worse,
you did nothing to make the negative change happen.
No, all you did was to continue to pay your bills
on time, the banks took care of the rest while you
were sleeping. And, oh yeah, I almost forgot, the
politicians, also played a significant role.

The politicians, because the passage of
the Credit Card Bill of Rights Act, is not slated to
take effect until 2010. This gave the banks plenty
of time to do their adjusting, so their profits
would not be hurt, and your interest rates could
go to outlandishly usurious levels, totally collapsing
your credit score and costing you a fortune in additional
interest.

So while the banks raked in your tax bail out
dollars, the reality is, that the politicians did nothing
to really protect you.

Sorry for the steam blow off, but it just is almost

Shortly after the passage of the Bankruptcy
Reform Act of 2005, also known as BAPCA, Bankruptcy
filings fell to dramatic lows. Fast forward to the beginning
of 2008 and bankruptcy filings started increasing to record
levels. Business became good again for bankruptcy attorneys.

The problem with the rash of filings which continues
through today, is that for those who qualify for in particular
a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which is, in large part, viewed as a
“debt walkaway”, many consumers view a bankruptcy with far
to casual an eye. Please lets get one thing straight. No debt
walkaway is void of consequences.

The idea that a chapter 7 bankruptcy is a fresh start
is not always true. In some cases there can be a liquidation
of some assets to pay back part of the debt. Additionally, in
today’s tight credit markets, the bankruptcy will be cause for
paying much higher interest rates on a credit you may qualify for
for some time to come. Also, you may actually be frozen out of some
credit markets, not to mention, some jobs, as more and more employers
look at credit reports as a screening device. What about housing?
Possibility of being excluded from that dream apartment, especially,
if the competition is significant.

Their is no question that for some, filing a bankruptcy is
the only way out, however, it should in my opinion, always be
the measure of last resort. Seeking the services if a good
credit counselor is good as a first step, but be careful.
Non-profits which are fine, but also very limited in the options
they can point you to, as they are under legal constraints
in terms of what solutions they can offer you. You really want to
seek the advice of a credit counselor who is familiar with many
debt solutions and the advantages and disadvantages of each
potential solution. Non profits can only offer you debt management
and budgeting as a solution. Whereas, a counselor not under these
constraints may be able also to offer you
Debt Settlement, Debt Management, budget counseling, and perhaps
even an Alternative Debt Relief.

The bottom line is that it is possible, in many cases, to
avoid a bankruptcy in a debt crises, and its longer term
consequences. A debt settlement program coupled with a debt
validation program can avoid a bankruptcy and help restore
your credit report at the same time your debts are being
dispensed with.
